Quick Checklist (Before Starting)

  1. Do you want to trade today? If NO — do not start the Drone.
  2. Have you verified your budget and risk limits?
  3. Is IB Gateway running in IB API + LIVE TRADING mode?
  4. Do you know how to perform an emergency STOP? (see below)

⚙️ IBKR Account Setup

  1. Set your Base Currency to USD in IBKR Settings → Account Reporting.
  2. Set the IBKR Pricing System to Tiered (not Fixed) in Settings → Account Configuration.

Lower commissions = higher net profits
These two settings reduce your IBKR commissions and increase your net profits. Strongly recommended.

📱 Daily Routine

  1. Every trading morning, by 15:15 Italian time, open your personal Drone address (saved in your favorites).
  2. Enter your email → receive a one-time code → the official Interactive Brokers window opens.
  3. Log in with YOUR IBKR credentials and confirm on IB Key from your phone.
  4. Green status = your Drone is armed. Close the page — it hunts autonomously until market close.
  5. Monitor trades live from your dashboard: P&L, positions, signals. KILL switch always one tap away.
  6. All positions are closed automatically at end of day (EOD exit). No overnight risk.
Operations must be completed every trading day between 08:00 and 15:00 Italian time. Starting the Drone is your conscious decision to trade for the day.

🛑 Emergency STOP (Anytime)

  1. Log in to your IBKR account — this disconnects the Gateway API and stops the Drone.
  2. If urgent: go to IBKR and manually close positions / cancel pending orders.
  3. If needed: disable APIs in IB Gateway (API Settings) or revoke connection permissions.
  4. Close IB Gateway and close the agent window.
You can stop the Drone at any moment. You always have full veto power over every operation.
